“…On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.”
Reflection
Have you ever stopped to think about how intentional God was when He created the earth?
Before we had laboratories, beauty aisles, or endless products to choose from, God had already filled creation with plants, seeds, fruits, oils, and resources for us to steward.
Revelation 22:2 gives us this beautiful picture of the tree of life, whose leaves are described as being “for the healing of the nations.”
But the beauty of this verse isn’t simply the leaves.
It’s the God who created them.
Sometimes we search everywhere for solutions and forget to ask the Creator for wisdom about His creation.
Even when it comes to something like your hair, you can invite God into the process.
Ask Him for wisdom when you’re dealing with breakage.
Ask Him for patience when growth feels slow.
Ask Him to help you understand what your hair needs.
Ask Him to guide you toward the right resources and habits.
And as you use the plants, oils, herbs, and other resources found in creation, remember where they ultimately came from.
The creation is not our healer. God is.
The leaves point back to Him.
The provision points back to Him.
And every good thing He has given us should ultimately lead us back to gratitude for the Creator.
Affirmation
God is my source. I am grateful for the resources He has placed in creation, and I trust Him to give me wisdom to steward them well. I will care for what He has given me with patience, gratitude, and faith.
Prayer
Father, thank You for the beauty, wisdom, and provision found throughout Your creation.
Thank You for being intentional about even the smallest details of what You made. Help me never become so focused on finding a solution that I forget to seek the One who created it all.
Give me wisdom to properly steward my body, my hair, and the resources You’ve placed in my hands. Teach me what to use, what to avoid, when to be patient, and when to seek additional help.
Most importantly, remind me that my trust does not belong in an herb, an oil, a product, or a routine. My trust belongs in You.
May everything You’ve created continually point me back to the Creator.
