Bible Verse of the Week: Proverbs 18:21

Proverbs 18:21

“The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” – Proverbs 18:21

Reflection

Proverbs 18:21 reminds us that our words carry weight. What we speak over ourselves, our bodies, and our journeys has the power to shape our mindset, our confidence, and even our outcomes. Words can either nurture growth or quietly limit it.

So often, we speak negatively without realizing it! “My hair never grows,” “My hair is stuck at shoulder length”, “Nothing works for me,” “I’ve tried everything.” These words may feel harmless, but God reminds us that life and death are in the power of the tongue.

God invites us to speak life, especially in seasons that require patience. Growth, whether spiritual, emotional, or physical, begins with what we believe and declare. When we align our words with faith, we create room for healing, restoration, and confidence to flourish.

Your hair responds to consistency, nourishment, and belief. Speaking life over your hair journey shifts how you show up for it.

Instead of frustration and doubt, choose faith and declaration. Caring for your hair becomes more than a everyday routine. It becomes an act of alignment with God’s Word, patience, and self-respect.

 Affirmation

“I speak life over my hair, and my journey. My words align with faith, growth, and restoration. What I declare today produces fruit tomorrow.”

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for reminding me of the power in my words. Help me to speak life, not only over my circumstances but over myself. Teach me to align my speech with Your truth and promises. May my words nurture growth, confidence, and peace in every area of my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
